One of the difficulties with setting up a franchise is in getting hold of a comprehensive list of what’s available in your line of business. To this end Franchiseworld has published its annual directory and it’s worth a look. The page to which I’ve linked gives you a sample write-up so you can decide whether it’ll have the depth you want or whether you’re better off searching online.

It’s just a bit of a shame they’ve opted to highlight the McDonald’s example as a the sample write-up in question. I have nothing against using one franchise as set against using any other for illustrative purposes of course, but wouldn’t it be good if we could get away from the ‘burger bar’ image so many people have of this market sector? Just for a little while?
