I am blushing! One thing that I would add is that I feel small business has a distinct advantage in boosting profits through people. They have huge advantages in engaging people and also attracting talent – because of the “intimacy” of the working relationship. I believe small business should be using this advantage more, the needs of employees has changed drastically and small business can really benefit from that over the next couple of years.

  2. I agree with you Anna, but wonder whether the talent smaller businesses would like to attract still equates a successful career with big corporates or senior roles in the public sector. As a corporate escapee myself, I can’t tell whether I’m an exception, a rule or a trend ;)
