I am blushing! One thing that I would add is that I feel small business has a distinct advantage in boosting profits through people. They have huge advantages in engaging people and also attracting talent - because of the “intimacy” of the working relationship. I believe small business should be using this advantage more, the needs of employees has changed drastically and small business can really benefit from that over the next couple of years.

I agree with you Anna, but wonder whether the talent smaller businesses would like to attract still equates a successful career with big corporates or senior roles in the public sector. As a corporate escapee myself, I can’t tell whether I’m an exception, a rule or a trend
