Company Pension Scheme E-Filing Goes Live
By SmallBizPod, 16th October 2007 at 11:10
From today all registered pension schemes must submit certain information electronically to HMRC. This hasn’t stopped the Federation of Small Business, however, from suggesting e-filing should be optional as it adds to the administrative burden, rather than diminished it. A strange argument.
Full details of the elements that company pension scheme administrators will need to file electronically can be found at HMRC and include:
- Applications to register a pension scheme;
- Registered Pension Scheme Returns;
- Accounting for Tax Returns;
- Scheme Administrator’s Declarations;
- Event Reports;
- Notifications of the winding-up of a registered pension scheme;
- Notifications of a scheme administrator terminating their appointment.
