venturenavigator This month has seen the launch of a new site, Venture Navigator, designed to give startups and business owners practical online assessment, support and a guide to good online resources.

We’ve very pleased to see SmallBizPod podcasts featured, but more to the point this project developed by a number of UK universities and Library House is an interesting example of a form of online mentoring service for businesses.

The site includes an assessment system which tests various fundamentals of your business idea, plan and implementation.  Beyond links to some useful resources, it also offers an ‘answer’ service based around the usual community/forum model.

It’s early days, but this is a site worth watching, if it delivers on its early promise.
