Skype And 3 - Free Mobile Calls For Business?
By SmallBizPod, 29th October 2007 at 19:41
Skype and mobile phone operator 3 have announced a partnership deal that allows free VoIP calls on a mobile. The 3 Skypephone is a fully-featured 3G Internet phone with Skype built in. In addition to free calls between Skype users, the phone makes conventional calls and can be used to access internet services.
At the moment the offer is restricted to pay-as-you-go tariffs which are not well suited to business. It’ll also be interesting to see how reliable Skype is over mobile 3G. Nevertheless, the possibility of businesses being able to make free mobile phone calls with Skype-enabled staff, suppliers or customers is an attractive prospect, albeit one that is not quite here yet.

As a new business this would be an excellent option. Are the phones actually available now?
