Award For Green Start-Ups Announced

Sustainable business community launches green business competition.

Milton Park, the Oxfordshire-based sustainable business community has launched its third annual Greenshoots Awards, designed to to encourage and recognise environmentally-friendly business startups.

Any small business which is three years old or less and which is dedicated to improving the environment can enter the competition which was won last year by Statix Industries. 

Josef Tapper of Statix, a business designed around vegetable-based CO2 absorption, said:

Winning the Greenshoots Award was an important factor in our ability to raise private funding that enable us to build our business.

The closing date for entries is 15 February 2008, with winners announced in April.
