Cut Recruitment Costs by 75% Claims New Site

know-who Today sees the beta launch of a new social network and referral-based recruitment site called know-who.com.  The site claims that using the power of referral networks, its online recruitment model could save businesses as much as 75% in recruitment costs.

know-who.com seems to apply the same principles to the online recruitment market as Zubka.  Use and reward referrers to identify the right candidates for jobs posted by hirers.

It’s a good idea and one worthy of emulation.  know-who.com’s own recent survey shows that nearly two thirds (60%) of Britons prefer direct application and contact via word of mouth or referral to dealing with recruitment consultants.

Both Zubka and know-who.com are classic disintermediation plays.  It’ll be interesting to monitor their success and see whether there’s room in the market for them both.
