Long-standing tech magazine Red Herring has announced its annual top 100 list of privately held technology companies in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.
UK companies selected on the list which include Miomi, Mydeco, Silobreaker, Trampoline Systems and many more.
The awards aim to highlight new and innovative technology companies in Europe as Editor-in-Chief of Red Herring, Joel Dreyfuss, says:
The exceptional accomplishments of European technology startups and entrepreneurs are a testament to the rapid advancements being made in building the European innovation ecosystem.
There’s always a Silicon Valley vs Rest of The World debate to be had when it comes to technology startups, but Europe is establishing a momentum. For more on this debate you might want to check out the SmallBizPod interview with Red Herring publisher Alex Vieux.
The 100 listed finalists will be honoured at an event in Malta to be held on April 14-16 at which they’ll be able to pitch to industry analysts, investors and strategists.
