Companies Act Late filing penaltiesCompanies House warns that late filing penalties for companies will rise from 1 February to encourage businesses to file their company returns on time.  So, don’t forget to get your key  filing dates in the diary.

As a result of changes to the Companies Act, all penalties will be increased to take account of inflation between 1992 and 2007.

Companies failing to file returns for longer than one month will see the penalty rate rise more steeply than before and penalties will be doubled for repeat offenders.

Full details of changes can be found on the Companies House website.

When every penny counts, now is not the time to waste money on unnecessary fees, so make sure you’re on top of filing dates for your company.
