iawards to celebrate British innovation

James Caan of Dragon’s Den is among those supporting the government-backed iawards which aim to recognise British achievements in science, technology and innovation. These new awards are open to all businesses, with a couple of categories paticularly suited to SMEs.

The Next Big Thing category is for businesses or organisations who have conducted research and development into an innovative product, but have yet to fully commercialise it.

The other category which may be perfect for smaller businesses, is the Best British Inside category.  This will focus on businesses or organisations whose innovation created a breakthrough which forms a central element of the success of any other company around the world.

The closing date for entries is 16th September.
