Figures released today from Croner Reward suggest that UK managers earned an average of £31,289 in the last 12 months – an increase of 4.4% on the previous year.
In terms of sectors computer services managers were most highly rewarded (£36,210), timber and furniture managers the least (£26,000). Regionally Londoners earn 26% more (£36,210) than their counterparts in the South West (£27,500).
The Croner data is based on a large sample of over 14,000 job records representing 1 million employees so it provides a useful set of independent data by which to benchmark your own pay scales.
