Young and old nominated for UK’s top awards for successful business women.
Entrepreneurial flair marks out the finalists nominated for the 6th annual Everywoman awards this year which profile successful business women across the generations.
Among the youngest to be named a finalist is Becky Benfield who set up her model horse website, Utterly Horses, when she was only 16. It’s now become one of the leading sites of its kind with strong sales.
Others to be nominated include Jennifer Irvine of Pure Package (prevously interviewed on SmallBizPod) who has built up her healthy meals on wheels to the stars business rapidly and now employs 25 people.
Karen Gill, co-founder of Everywoman, said:
All of the finalists are shining examples of women who have achieved great success, regardless of what life has thrown at them, and it’s fantastic to be able to celebrate their triumphs.
Winners will be announced at a ceremony at London’s Dorchester Hotel on 3 December 2008.
